The question I get asked ALL the time, is where do I find the patterns I sell. Here are a few hints on how to find these rare goodies in your area. First..... Print some business cards with contact info. I don't do my address just my phone number and what I am looking for and then carry them all the time. Be sure to drop them....with every person who says.... "My mother has some in the attic... " at auction housesat thrift storesat antique storesat garage salesinclude them with sold patternsand anywhere else you can think of.. be creative!Next consider a classified ad in the paper or online. I like to bring someone else with me when I meet people or meet at a restaurant or library. Whenever you buy a pattern let the seller know you are on the lookout for more. I have repeat sellers who search me out for more. Then there is the 3 foot rule... if you are within three feet of someone share your passion for old patterns and let them know you are always searching for old patterns and transfers. And finally.. if you have bought a great lot from someone, keep their phone number and give them a call a couple of months later to see if they have run into more. Some of my best lots have taken me a year or more to encourage the sale from the seller. I guess the best word is persistence. I hope you've
