Hey Gymboree Lovers have you all looked at those fabulous Wholesale lots on okay and said Wow I can get $1000 worth of Gymboree for only $650 ...wow what a great deal. Well it really isn't.In most cases the wholesale lots on okay are not worth selling. Usually these will include a ton of basics, solid colors, accessories, socks, hats, etc and very few popular items. Alot of times you will see the wording youwon't get the same item in the same size, buy you mayget it in different sizes. Who wants to get 10 of the same very unpopular dress that went on sale for $3.99 because it didn't sell in the stores? You might then get several basicsolid color tees, some pjs, a few hats, etc.....sure you got $1000 worth of merchandise andnow you need to figure out how you will sell these dresses to make up just the moeny you invested. You have to make sure to get and exact list of what will be included.
Watch out for these key terms:
The photos are examples!!!!
You won't get 2 of the same item (well at least in the same size)
This lot includes both boys and girls from Newborn to size 9 (most items will be in the 18-24 mos range)
This lot will include items from the following lines: Then you end up with the current sale items from only 3 or 4 lines that weren't hot sellers and everyone else has them too. I find if someone says their lots include alot of the older lines from 2 or 3 years ago, I would really question it, alot of those items are still hot today...yet harder and harder to find. Search for example Hide and Seek or Cute as a Button, two of my faves, not much anymore listed.....so do your research.
Questions to ask:
How many pieces are included? This is a big clue as to if you are getting just the basics and alot of accessories. If they say you will be getting 50 pieces then it is most likely items that won't make you any money, most likely you will take a loss. If you get more like 35 items you know you are probably getting some great dresses and outfits, sweaters, etc.
Use your best judgement when purchasing these lots. Although many of these ads are misleading they haven't lied either. Therefore creating a position you can't return for misrepresentation. Because you did in fact get your $1000 lot and you knew the pics were samples only, etc.....
Use Caution and the best bet is to buy the items yourself at your local Gymboree or Gymboree.ge
Good Luck Selling!
